Joy is a fully qualified practitioner of acupuncture and has over 15 years experience working with diverse health problems and with people from all backgrounds. Her peaceful clinic is located on the boundaries of Hove and Portslade, in East Sussex. She has a professional yet friendly manner, and has built up a good reputation for providing top quality service, whilst maintaining that personal one to one touch that her customers appreciate.

Training and Credentials

Joy originally trained as a Shiatsu practitioner at the British School of Shiatsu in the 1990s. She then worked as a Shiatsu practitioner for many years, whilst also studying with her Japanese Master Kiiko Matsumoto. She was then inspired by Master Kiiko Matsumoto to study acupuncture.

Joy has a BSc (Hons) degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - Acupuncture, from the University of Westminster, London. This is a full-time 3 year degree covering both Western medicine and Oriental medicine - as opposed to some doctors, osteopaths, physiotherapists who can legally study from just 5 days or a few months and subsequently call themselves acupuncturists. After her degree Joy did numerous post-graduate courses and now specializes in Japanese-Style Acupuncture under Master Kiiko Matsumoto.

She is a fully-insured Member of the British Acupuncture Council (MBAcC) so you can rest assured you're in great hands.
Joy has also studied Facial Revitalisation Acupuncture, which she offers to clients at their request.
